All the buildings we manufacture use 19mm x 125 mm (5/8") thick tongue and groove cladding as a minimum which is used in the roof and the floor as we never use sheet materials like OSB board or chipboard. We create a substantial internal framework using a 44mm x 33mm frame (2" x 1 1/2") that is screwed together and all timbers are preserved with a spirit based preserver for longevity. In addition to the quality and thickness of the wood, sheds are secured with triple hinged fully framed and braced doors with all furniture been bolted for added security. Windows are glazed with 4mm glass for sheds and toughened glass for Summerhouses. We offer a range of coverings for our roofs from different thicknesses of green mineral felt to felt tile shingles.

If a standard sized building doesn't fit the customers needs then we are happy to create a bespoke building, or even an unusual shape that departs from the usual square or rectangular design. In these cases we are happy to come and survey the site for the customer.

An important feature worth noting is that Roof strength has always been an important aspect of our design. Bigger sheds and Summerhouses incorporate nicely finished roof trusses or sculptured joists whilst even the smaller buildings have substantial roof support. The customer may have noticed that poor roof support and roof 'sag' is a common problem with modern sheds.

As a rule the customer has to provide us with a solid and level base that is free from obstruction ie intruding bushes and trees. bases can be created from one of a few methods i e a concrete plinth, flagged area, wooden beams or even a carefully shuttled area containing pebbles or a a similar aggregate. We also need access to the area where the building is going and as our buildings are generally taller than other companies obstacles such as garage access, garden arches and brick archways can be a problem, in cases where access could be a problem   a site survey may be required . We have never been defeated with acute access problems and in the worst cases we have created a more modular building.
